We took over The Mez, a dedicated activation space in Champs. Utilizing adidas as a creator platform, the experience took Traun through a series of engagements ranging from sport to music. The journey began on Instagram as Champs hyped a disruptive basketball challenge with experiential prizing and a fresh program of entertainment. Traun arrived at the bleeding edge of adidas culture in the heart of Chicago. A traditional pop-a-shot was flipped with LED hoops driving a 60 second challenge. Draining 10 shots earned a key to the FOMO locker wall. The experience immersed each participant in art, culture, sneakers and music. This took Traun from a sport moment to lifestyle with Chicago-inspired pieces such as Kanye West LPs or tickets to Lallapalooza. A few young ballers even snagged new sneakers like NMDs, UltraBOOSTs and featured adidas basketball silhouettes.
A day where the line outside the store never ended was capped with musical performances from Towkio, Saba and Joey Purp. The output was the most engaging and hype-worthy activation of all brands at the launch. #CHImade
